Dan was excited to join the Arboretum staff in November 2023 after helping beautify campus as a horticulture technician since February 2015. He first came to main campus as an undergraduate in 2004, ultimately, receiving a Master of Agriculture in Horticulture degree.
Throughout his life, Dan has enjoyed working outdoors and in the green industry, including at a dairy and vegetable farm, greenhouse and plant nursery, golf course, and landscape installation business. In addition to his diverse work background, he also is a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture and a past Certified Landscape Technician (Softscape) through the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association. Dan looks forward to contributing to the horticultural excellence and expansion of the Arboretum and the many opportunities to interact with visitors, interns, and volunteers.
