During this monthly program for children and their grown-ups, participants will explore our lesser-known spaces including the Hartley Wood and Arboretum prairie lands. In celebration of our avian-themed week, this edition of Arboretum Explorers will be a bird-watching walk for beginners. Bring binoculars, if you have them. A limited number of Arboretum binoculars will be available to borrow. The group meets at the Overlook Pavilion and proceeds to the Arboretum’s natural areas after a short program introduction.
Please wear shoes suitable for rustic trails and dress for the weather. This program will take place rain or shine, but may be canceled without notice in the event of extreme weather (heavy snow or rain, extreme heat/cold, thunderstorms, etc.). Advance registration is required for participation in the program. It is open to all ages, but children must attend with a parent or guardian who is responsible for their supervision at all times. Please leave pets at home!
