Seasonal Festivals and Special Events

Go Public Gardens! is an ongoing initiative to invite the public to visit, value, and volunteer at public gardens.

Celebrate Go Public Gardens Days this spring by adopting a plant at the Arboretum! We will be giving away baby tomatoes and zinnias at the Glass House in Childhood’s Gate Children’s Garden. No registration is required.

Dates: May 15, 16, 17, and 19, 2023
Time: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Music in the Gardens is an evening of live classical music presented by the Penn’s Woods Music Festival. The concert is free and open to the public.

Date: Sunday, June 11, 2023 (rain date: Monday, June 12, 2023)
Time: 7:00–8:00 p.m.

The Pumpkin Festival is the Arboretum’s signature fall event. Enjoy music, activities for the whole family, a pumpkin-carving contest, and a lighted jack-o’-lantern display featuring hundreds of contest entries.

Sunday, October 1
Pumpkin giveaway (1:00–3:00 p.m.)
Pumpkins (1,000) will be given to contest entrants.

Friday, October 6
Jack-o’-lantern registration (8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.)
Lighted Jack-o’-lantern display (6:00–9:00 p.m.)

Saturday, October 7
Family activities and crafts (3:00–6:30 p.m.)
Lighted jack-o’-lantern display (6:00–9:00 p.m.)

Sunday, October 8
Ribbon and jack-o’-lantern pickup (10:00 a.m.–noon)
