From leading tours to tending the gardens to facilitating special events, community members and students provide critical support for everything we do at the Arboretum. No matter where your interests lie, we have a volunteer opportunity that is just right for you.

Internships provide an immersive educational experience, combining hands-on garden training with field trips, discussion sessions, and the opportunity to interact with and lead groups of Arboretum visitors.

Openings for positions on the Arboretum staff will be announced on this page and on the Penn State Careers website.

The Arboretum needs your support. All funding for maintenance, public events, and growth of the Arboretum comes from private gifts, and we depend heavily on the help of volunteers to get it all done.
