Join Arboretum educator Rebecca Horwitt at 1:00 p.m. for a botany-centric garden walk and learn about plants used in the papermaking process, along with their growth habits, pest challenges, and harvesting methods.
At 2:00 p.m., venture indoors with a museum guide for a deep dive into the expressive and inventive paper sculptures on view in Washi Transformed as well as related works in the permanent collection.
Please wear shoes suitable for walking in the gardens. Hats and water bottles are recommended if the weather is sunny and hot. The garden portion of the program has a participation limit of 20 individuals. Participation is available on a first come, first served basis.
