Celebrate Earth Day with the Arboretum! We will be offering programs for all ages. For young visitors, there will be nature free play and programming around the Arboretum’s new Artemis Moon Tree, grown from a seed that went all the way to the Moon! Adults will enjoy mindful nature journaling and environmental trivia.

Penn State TESLA — Decorate a Recycled Pot and Plant a Succulent
Join Penn State Teaching Elementary Science Leadership Academy (TESLA) students to decorate a recycled pot and plant a small succulent to take home (while supplies last). Gathering Lawn, Childhood’s Gate Children’s Garden

Join author and illustrator Rebecca Horwitt for a read-aloud story time of her new book introducing us to the Arboretum’s Artemis Moon Tree seedling and the history behind this exciting NASA science experiment. Amphitheater, Childhood’s Gate Children’s Garden

Following our Earth Day Celebration, adults ages 21+ are invited to The Arboretum at Penn State’s first Environmental Trivia. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase for those 21+ with proper ID.
