Bird Walk

Join us for a bird-watching walk led by avian experts! Walks will start in early fall, the season when an abundance of newly-fledged birds head south for the first time, and will continue into the winter months, which are a perfect time to become familiar with resident species and those who have traveled from further north.

All levels of experience are welcome. Wear sturdy shoes suitable for walking on wet ground and bring a pair of binoculars if you have them. The Arboretum has a limited number of binoculars available to borrow.

Walks begin at the Overlook Pavilion and proceed into the Arboretum’s natural areas. In the event of steady rain, walks will be canceled.

In order to maintain the safety of visitors and staff, programs may be canceled without notice in the event of severe weather.
