Which tree helped to kick off the Revolutionary War? Which one was once seen as a medicinal cure-all as well as a delicious flavoring? Which of the Arboretum’s trees is a true living fossil? Celebrate National Arbor Day by joining Rebecca Horwitt, the Arboretum’s programs coordinator and plant-story enthusiast, for a walk through the botanic garden focused on tree trivia and history.

  • Open to: adults (ages 18+)
  • Advance registration is required for participation in this program.
  • Program capacity: 20. If registration exceeds capacity, your name will be placed on the wait list.
  • Fee: FREE! Support this and other programs by making a gift.
  • Rain date: May 3, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
  • Please plan to wear sturdy shoes suitable for walking, and dress for the weather. The walk will proceed in light rain. The program may be canceled on short notice in the event of heavy rain, snow, or other severe weather.
