Invasive Tree Control Demonstration
Learn strategies for managing some of North America’s most persistent invasive plants with Penn State Extension educators. This hands-off program led by Penn State Professor Calvin Norman will demonstrate how forestry and landscape professionals use herbicides responsibly as part of their strategy for managing invasive woody plants. Open to adults (18+).
Participants will meet at the east end of Bigler Rd. near the Arboretum’s Hartley Wood at 5:30 p.m. and proceed to the Arboretum’s remote areas, where a stand of invasive tree of heaven (Ailanthus altissima) is growing.
Registration is welcomed for this program and will help us know how many to expect.
