Watershed Features Walk

Join the Arboretum and Dr. Richard Parizek for an in-depth look at the prominent watershed features in the Arboretum. The program will begin with a lecture and investigation of the Ridge and Valley sculpture. Afterwards, participants will spend several hours exploring the Arboretum’s natural lands and learning about the features of the watershed that are visible there. This program involves moderate hiking and is not recommended for those with limited mobility.

Instructor

Dr. Richard Parizek is an emeritus professor of Geosciences in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at Penn State. His expertise is in hydrogeology and groundwater, and he is well known for co-developing the fracture trace and lineament method for groundwater prospecting.
