Solitary bee hotel

On Saturday, May 21, join Dr. Harland Patch and Heather Desorcie from the Center for Pollinator Research for this hands-on workshop and build your own bee hotel! Bee hotels are a great way to support pollinator diversity in home gardens, providing suitable nesting sites for many solitary cavity-nesting bee species. Participants will learn about the solitary bees they may find in their Central PA backyards before building a bee hotel from precut wood, hollow reeds, and drilled wood blocks. After attending this program, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and supplies to manage a solitary bee hotel.
