Honey Bees in Spring
May 2 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Hives are bustling as temperatures rise and flowers begin to bloom. Beekeeper Kate Anton and educator Heather Desorcie will lead an exploration of the busy lives of honey bees in springtime in the Pollinator and Bird Garden. Participants will have the opportunity to experience hands-on interaction with a honey bee colony and learn about life inside the hive. In the garden, we will explore the early-blooming flowers that fuel honey bees as they increase the size of their colony.
Date and Time: Monday, May 2, 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Adults (18+) only
Advance registration required. If you are interested in participating, please email the public programs manager, Timothy Gould (firstname.lastname@example.org).
