Avian Education Program Bird Walk
October 3 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 amFree
The Avian Education Program offers the opportunity to take a guided walk in the Arboretum during fall migration. These walks are led by Margaret Brittingham, professor of Wildlife Resources. This fall the bird walks will occur from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. All levels of experience are welcome.
Attendees should wear sturdy shoes for walking on wet ground and bring a pair of binoculars, if they have them. (We also have extra binoculars that you can borrow.) Walks will be cancelled if there is steady rain.
All bird walks begin at the Arboretum’s parking lot except for the walk on October 3. The Arboretum’s parking lot is off Park Avenue and across from the law school on Bigler Road. On October 3, bird walk attendees will meet at SGL 176 on Scotia Range Road at the parking area on the left located 1.8 miles from the intersection of Scotia Road and Scotia Range Road.
Please contact Margaret Brittingham if you have questions. (See phone number and email address in side bar on right.)
